Baked Roast Beef and Provolone Sandwiches Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package Dinner Rolls (Hawaiian, Butter or Potato Rolls)
  • 1 1/2 pounds rare Deli Roast Beef, sliced as thinly as possible, but not shaved
  • 12 slices thin Provolone Cheese
  • Refrigerator Pickles (Click HERE for our easy and delicious Refrigerator Pickles Recipe – Coming Soon) or Bread and Butter Pickles, store bought or homemade
  • Horseradish Sauce
  • 2 sticks Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Onions
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Poppy Seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Mustard
  • Several shakes Red Pepper Flakes

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter stick and 6 seasonings. Stir to combine.
  2. Using a long serrated knife, halve the entire package of dinner rolls into tops and bottoms. Set tops aside.
  3. Set bottoms in a 9 x 13 casserole dish.
  4. Spread each bottom bun with horseradish.
  5. Lay 6 slices over provolone over the whole pan of buns, overlapping them, making sure to cover every inch with cheese.
  6. Pile on the beef to cover the whole pan.
  7. Layer with another 6 slices of provolone cheese.
  8. Lay pickles all over the sandwiches.
  9. Put on the tops.
  10. Combine butter, dried onions, garlic powder, oregano, poppy seeds, mustard and red pepper flakes. Stir.
  11. Pour butter mixture all over the tops of the sandwiches.
  12. Cover with foil and bake in a 375°F oven for 20 minutes.
  13. Uncover and bake another 10 minutes or so until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  14. Cut into twos or threes and serve with chips or Delmy’s broccoli salad!

Delmy’s Broccoli Salad Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 head Broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 cup Golden Raisins
  • 1 cup Cashews
  • 1/2 Red Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Vinegar

Directions

  1. Whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, and vinegar.
  2. Toss well with broccoli, raisins, cashews, and red onion.
  3. Chill for 30 minutes before serving.
